Steve was a consistent member of the FEKO squad for many years and during this time amongst others, attended the following events:

2001 – WKC World Championships ( Aberdeen)
2003 – WKC World Championships ( Russia)
2004 – WKC European Championships ( Italy)
2005 – WKC World Championships ( Serbia & Montenegro )

At all of these events he competed at both Kata and Kumite and was a member of the 3 man team competing under shobu ippon rules

In May 2008 due to a serious eye injury sustained during a competition he was forced to retire.

Luckily Steve's involvement with SEKU and the squad got him over this really quickly. It was around this time and after a lot of thought he and the club left Swanda and approached Sensei Dewey and moved fully to SEKU in August 2008.
