Stuart Hick, Chief Instructor, has been teaching karate since 1995 and formed the Plympton Shotokan Karate Club in January 2000.

He has trained in Japan and achieved some of the highest standards in traditional karate, as well as competing on a regional and national level and obtaining all EKGB coaching qualifications.
Stuart works hard to maintain the high standards of powerful, traditional karate that he inherited from his instructors, at the same time providing a welcoming and friendly service in the Dojo.
Stuart is assisted at the club by Luke Irving and Jon Eaton who both take a keen interest in karate as a form of fitness, as well as self defence.
All of Plympton Shotokan Karate's instructors are fully qualified to national level, are CRB checked and insured, and all hold a minimum of black belt whilst remaining patient, friendly and approachable at all times.
